What is Melanated Venture Scouts?
Melanated Venture Scouts is a youth-focused outdoor program designed to introduce black and brown youth ages 13–21 to nature, leadership, and community through structured, guided experiences. The program centers safety, representation, and personal growth.
Who can participate?
Venture Scouts primarily serves black and brown youth ages 13–21. Families who respect the mission and values of the program are welcome. No prior outdoor or camping experience is required.
Does my child need camping or outdoor experience?
No. Venture Scouts is beginner-friendly by design. Activities are structured to meet youth where they are and introduce skills gradually in a supportive environment.
What kinds of activities do Venture Scouts do?
